CONTINUOUS
GALVANIZING LINE (CGL
1 )
CMI - Belgium, Danieli
- Italy , Stein Hurtey-
France, Taylor Winfield
- USA,
Ajax-Englang, Ansaldo-France
|
| In
CGL 1 line, the steel
strip passes continuously
through some chemical
baths as degreasing
unit, pickling-rinsing
for the surface preparation
and is heat treated
in annealing furnaces
then coolled to the
same temperature as
zinc and then dipped
into the zinc pot. After the zinc coating, skinpass, chromating, oiling, ink jet printing can be applied to the galvanized steel strip, according to customer requirements. |

| Equipments
of this line are |
- Entry thickness
gauge ( gamma ray
) : Measure
the thickness of
the strip
- Welder :
Used to weld the
strip in order to
provide continouty.
- Degreasing
: Remove the
iron particles and
rolling oil from
the strip
- Furnace :
To anneal the strip
according to mechanical
properties requirements
- Zinc coating
pot : To coat
the strip with zinc
(Induction heating
ceramic pot )
- Air jet wiping
: To adjust
precisely the coating
thickness
- Coating gauge
( X-ray ): Coating
thickness is measured
along the width
and length of the
coil
- Skinpass mill
: To improve
the yield point
and give roughness
to the strip
- Tension leveller
: To obtain
better flatness
- Chromating
: To passivate
the strip surface
- Automatic
surface inspection
system : To
monitor the surface
defects automatically
- Side trimmer
: Trims the
edges to provide
required width.
- Ink jet printer
: Print the
customer requirements
on the strip
- Inspection
room : To inspect
both side of the
strip
- Total thickness
gauge ( Gamma ray
) : To measure
the thickness of
the strip with coating
- Elektrostatic
oiler : To oil
the strip for protection
